Fall Cider Making Workshop at the Taproom

Join our cider making workshops to learn how to make cider from Hale & True owner and cider maker, Kerry McKenzie. This one-night, three-hour workshop is perfect for cider fans who want to learn more about the drink they love and those who want to get started cider making at home. The class is focused on learning how to make consistent, delicious cider and creating a solid foundation of cider making knowledge. We will also be tasting a variety of ciders!

In these workshops you will learn about the history of cider, cider styles, and apple varieties, learn step-by-step how to make high-quality cider at home, start your own batch of cider with fresh-pressed, local PA apple juice, and enjoy a guided tasting of different cider styles.

Come by the taproom to try Philly Magazine’s Best Food Truck and our neighbors, Algorithm! Algorithm will be serving vegan reuben and cheesesteak sandwiches plus a surprise desert!

The 2023 fifth annual Philly Cider Week now includes two full weekends of cider-centric events! Philly Cider Week is an annual weeklong series of events celebrating orchard-driven cider, with a focus on cideries based out of Pennsylvania and highlighting PA-grown apples.

The Food Trust Northern Liberties Farmer’s Market

Every Saturday in October, 10:00am-2:00pm
2nd Street & Germantown Avenue, Philadelphia

A collaboration with The Piazza and the Northern Liberties Business Improvement District, this weekly yearlong farmers market features over a dozen vendors including fruit and vegetable farmers, dairy purveyors, chocolate makers, hyper-locally brewed beer and more. Northern Liberties Farmers Market is made possible with generous support from Post Brothers and Penn Treaty Special Services District, as well as The Food Trust’s Presenting Sponsor for all 2023 farmers markets, Green Mountain Energy. The Food Trust Headhouse Farmer’s Market

Established in 2007, Headhouse Farmers Market is located in Philadelphia’s historic Society Hill neighborhood. Featuring rotating and weekly vendors, Headhouse is one of The Food Trust’s largest farmers markets. Beyond the abundance of fresh fruits and vegetables, you can also find a great selection of locally prepared foods and goods such as bread, soup, baked goods, coffee, beer, wine and more.
