There’s no time better than the start of Women’s History Month to convene with likeminded women entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs alike in a safe space. It’s been documented that women have a challenge in asking for ‘help’ for many reasons: fear of rejection, the impression of incompetency and/or lack of confidence. But on Sunday, March 5, women will have the opportunity to raise their hands and flex their “ask” muscles. In a room filled with women business professionals, where it’s likely someone will be able to assist you with the challenges you face or at least recommend someone who is able to. Cider Making Workshop at the Taproom

Join our cider making workshops to learn how to make cider from Hale & True owner and cider maker, Kerry McKenzie. This one-night, three-hour workshop is perfect for cider fans who want to learn more about the drink they love and those who want to get started cider making at home. The class is focused on learning how to make consistent, delicious cider and creating a solid foundation of cider making knowledge. We will also be tasting a variety of ciders!

In these workshops you will learn about the history of cider, cider styles, and apple varieties, learn step-by-step how to make high-quality cider at home, start your own batch of cider with fresh-pressed, local PA apple juice, and enjoy a guided tasting of different cider styles.

Cider Tasting Workshop

Love cider? Love learning? Love learning about cider? Take your beverage appreciation to the next level by joining us for a sensory analysis workshop!

Participants will practice evaluating ciders from a sensory perspective guided by Hale & True manager and Certified Cider Professional, Claire Trindle. This 90-minute session includes the sensory evaluation of 3 ciders. Participants will learn how to objectively assess cider, empowering them to understand what characteristics they love in cider for their personal consumption. The techniques you will learn in this workshop apply to more than just cider, and can add to your enjoyment of many other beverages as well.

The ticket for this sensory analysis workshop includes 3 samples of cider for evaluation and a full pour of a Hale & True cider to enjoy after the sensory evaluation portion. Tickets can be purchased by clicking here.

Barre & Cider at the Taproom
